The main reason why many trucking companies go out of business in its 1st year is because of compliance. In order to insure you are compliant and stay compliant is to take care of the first 3 steps and also a few other steps within 60 days of active authority.
- Find a Consortium. Use google if you must
- Apply for your IRP & IFTA

- Make sure you obtain a ELD
- This step is the most important of all, Make sure you have registered your business with your state, set up a tax code(LLC) , file for EIN from the IRS.gov
